Leadership & Credentials
Essential Living Support is led by a healthcare professional with formal academic training and hands-on experience supporting vulnerable populations — including Veterans and individuals with IDD.
The organization's founder holds an academic background in Healthcare Administration, providing a strong foundation in healthcare systems, regulatory compliance, organizational management, and the ethical delivery of care services in community-based settings.
Currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Administration (DHA), deepening expertise in healthcare policy, population health strategy, operational leadership, and evidence-based practices that directly shape how Essential Living Support is structured and managed.
Years of direct, real-world experience supporting individuals with disabilities and Veterans in home-based settings — not just administrative knowledge, but a deep understanding of day-to-day challenges, communication needs, and the importance of trust between caregiver and client.
Leadership maintains active engagement with continuing education, best practices in disability services, Veteran-specific care protocols, and emerging standards in home and community-based services (HCBS) to ensure care remains current, ethical, and effective.
Care Coordination
Supporting Veterans and individuals with IDD requires active communication and coordination with the broader network of professionals involved in each person's life. We do not operate in isolation.
We work closely with VA care teams, case managers, and community resource coordinators to ensure Veterans experience continuity of care and consistent communication across providers.
We actively collaborate with Medicaid waiver case managers, support coordinators, and social workers — sharing updates, participating in care planning, and following individualized support plans (ISPs).
For individuals transitioning from hospital settings, we coordinate with discharge planners to ensure a smooth transition to home-based support, with appropriate staffing in place from day one.
Families and legal guardians are considered partners in care. We provide regular communication, honor family preferences, and ensure those closest to clients remain informed and involved.
We coordinate with primary care physicians, behavioral health specialists, and therapists to support health-related goals and behavioral support strategies as directed by qualified professionals.
Referral partners, care teams, and families can reach us directly and expect prompt, professional responses at every stage of service delivery.
Staff Standards
The quality of care begins with the people who deliver it. Essential Living Support maintains high standards for every caregiver and support professional.
Compliance & Accountability
Essential Living Support operates within a clear framework of compliance obligations, client protections, and ethical service standards. We take these responsibilities seriously.
Every individual receiving services has rights that Essential Living Support is committed to upholding — including the right to be treated with dignity, to make choices, and to be free from abuse or exploitation.
We follow applicable privacy standards. Personal and health-related information is handled with discretion and shared only with individuals who have a legitimate role in the care of that individual.
Services are delivered according to individualized support plans and applicable program requirements, following established expectations for home and community-based care as they apply in Wyoming.
Clients, families, and guardians have access to a process for raising concerns about service delivery. We take all feedback seriously and respond in a professional, timely manner.
Services are delivered as agreed, staff conduct is monitored, and leadership takes responsibility for the quality of care provided under the organization's name.
We operate with honesty and integrity in all dealings — with clients, families, referral partners, and oversight entities. We do not misrepresent services, credentials, or outcomes.
Real-World Experience
Academic credentials matter — but so does lived, practical experience. Essential Living Support is grounded in direct, hands-on work with the populations we serve.
Working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities requires patience, attunement, and deep respect for each person's unique communication style, preferences, and capacity for self-determination. Our direct experience in home-based settings has shaped every aspect of how we approach staffing, training, and service delivery.
We understand the transitions, challenges, and moments of progress that define life for individuals with IDD — and we design our support accordingly.
Veterans often carry a unique set of experiences, needs, and preferences. Essential Living Support is intentional about Veteran care — emphasizing respect, autonomy, and connection to the VA system when applicable.
We recognize that Veterans deserve to be seen as individuals, not just a diagnostic category. We work in coordination with VA partners wherever possible. Learn more on our Veterans Services page.
There is a significant difference between understanding care theoretically and having delivered it directly. At Essential Living Support, leadership has worked in home-based environments, navigated behavioral challenges, coordinated with care teams under pressure, and built relationships with clients and families that demanded consistency, trust, and professionalism. That experience shapes every organizational decision — from how staff are selected, to how documentation is managed, to how referral partners are engaged.
For Referral Partners
Case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and VA coordinators who refer to Essential Living Support can expect a professional, communicative, and reliable partner in care.
Referral partners receive prompt, clear, and professional communication from initial inquiry through active service delivery. We understand your credibility is on the line when you refer — and we take that seriously.
We are willing to share relevant information about how services are being delivered. Transparency with referral partners builds the kind of trust that supports long-term professional relationships.
When you place someone with Essential Living Support, that individual will receive consistent, safe, and appropriate care. We hold ourselves to high operational standards to meet that expectation.
We view referral partners as members of the care team — not just a source of referrals. We follow individualized plans, participate in relevant meetings, and communicate proactively when circumstances change.
Not every home care provider has the background to appropriately support Veterans or adults with IDD. Our focus on these populations means greater confidence in the alignment of our practices with client needs.
