About Essential Living Support

Richard’s Journey

Essential Living Support, LLC was founded in Cheyenne, Wyoming by Richard Brown Jr., MBA-HCM, Founder & Owner, with a mission to provide compassionate, person-centered care that promotes dignity, independence, and belonging. As a Veteran-owned organization, we proudly serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and disabled Veterans through our certified VA Medical Foster Home Program, the first of its kind in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Richard’s journey in the healthcare field began at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center in Texas, where he advanced from Direct Support Professional to Assistant Unit Director and Meal Time Manager. Through these roles, he developed a deep understanding of individualized care, behavioral support, and the importance of building meaningful relationships between caregivers and those they serve.
