Essential Living Support, LLC provides Adult Day Services in Cheyenne, Wyoming for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Wyoming DD Waiver and HCBS services. Meaningful Daytime Support
Wyoming DD Waiver Adult Day Services are for individuals age 18 and older. ADS is billed as a 15-minute unit, transportation is included in the provider rate, and ADS must not be provided at the same time as other waiver services.
Personal care may be part of Adult Day Services, but it must not exceed 20 percent of the provided service.
Skill Building, Engagement, and Community Participation
ADS should keep community integration, employment support, and social interaction opportunities incorporated into the participant’s life. The service builds on previously learned skills and helps participants remain active, connected, and supported during the day.
Where Adult Day Services May Be Provided
Adult Day Services may be provided in the participant’s home only when the participant or legally authorized representative and the plan of care team decide the home is more appropriate and the IPC supports that reason. Participant choice in where and how ADS is received must be documented in the IPC.
How Adult Day Services Differ From Community Support Services
Community Support Services are a habilitation service focused on community access, adaptive skills, relationships, and training objectives in settings separate from the participant’s residence. Adult Day Services provide active daytime support for adults age 18 and older and are not a habilitation service.
How Adult Day Services Differ From Companion Services
Companion Services are generally focused on companionship, supervision, and community presence within the authorized service role. Adult Day Services are structured daytime supports with specific Wyoming DD Waiver scope rules, including service timing, documentation, personal care limits, and IPC-based setting decisions.
